Carol L. Smerdell

Carol L. Smerdell, age 90 of Warren passed away peacefully on Friday, September 20, 2024. She was born in Mannington, WV, the daughter of James M. Glasscock and Amanda Calvert Bland.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great grandchildren. She was the pianist and lifelong member of Warren Baptist Temple. She enjoyed word search puzzles, her ducks, and watching old westerns. 

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Joseph A. Smerdell; parents; son, Arthur Alan; sister, Ruby Wildman; and brother, Billy Glasscock.

She is survived by her children, Tina Rodepouch and Eric Smerdell; granddaughter, Jessica Smerdell; great grandsons, Nathaniel, Derrick, Nicholas, and Brennen Hayes; and numerous other extended family members.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Lane Funeral Home, Roberts-Clark Chapel 180 Garfield Dr. NE Warren, OH 44483 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.
