North Jackson- Funeral services will be 1 pm Tuesday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Carol VanAuker who died Friday afternoon at the Caprice Nursing Home. Carol was born May 12, 1926 in Ellsworth the daughter of Carl C. and Mae (Fenstermaker) Keslar and was a life long area resident. Carol was a homemaker enjoying her family and loved to quilt. She was a member of the Ellsworth Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, Choir member and a member of King’s Daughters. She is survived by her husband of 61 years David VanAuker whom she married June 8, 1946, children; Betty (Dave) Slanco of Berlin Center, Dwight (Melba) VanAuker of Canfield, Dwain (Mary Jane) VanAuker of North Jackson and Virginia Sechler of North Jackson. Carol is also survived by her sister Dorothy Newell of North Jackson, granddaughters; Heidi, Christine, Catherine, Andrea, Paula, Brenda, Cynthia and Lisa and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers; Ira and Ralph Keslar. Family and friends may call from 5-8 pm Monday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations to the Ellsworth Presbyterian
