Carole Lynn Babyak, 83, of Warren, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025 at the Hospice House in Poland, OH surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born on September 10, 1941 to Charles and Margaret (Kohl) in Warren, OH. She proudly earned her Master’s degree.

On July 19, 1980 she married Douglas. Carole would describe herself as an artist and naturalist. She was employed at various places including the railroad, General Motors, as well as teaching at Berkeley. She loved nature and spent her time birdwatching, caring for various animals, and hiking. Valuing her community Carole was a part of the Historical Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution, contributing historical interviews on WYSU’s radio spots and also participating in Civil War reenactments. Some of her passions were photography, book clubs, writing historical novels and skiing. Carole was an avid volunteer/donor for many causes. She loved spending time with her family and friends the most.

Carole is survived by her Son, Michael (Catie) Babyak of Fairfax, VT; and Granddaughter, Emma Babyak.

She was preceded in death by her husband, both of her parents, a brother Charles Johnson.

Interment will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery alongside her husband at a later date.
