Cassandra G. Postlethwait

Cassandra G. Postlethwait, 72, passed away on July 20, 2018 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Cassie was born in Warren, Ohio on June 4, 1946 to Roy & Francis (Meridith) Postlethwait. She was a truck driver for 33 years working for Local 436 out of Cleveland. She retired in 2010. Cassie was an active member of the Rolling Thunder Chapter 1 as well as ABATE, Inc. She was passionate about helping our military veterans. Cassie also indulged her creative side and enjoyed quilting, woodworking and latch hook just to name a few. However, Cassies greatest passion was her family. A Celebration of Cassies life will be held on Thursday July 26th from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, Cortland. At 4:00 p.m. a time of sharing favorite memories and stories will begin. Cassie is survived by her daughters Kimberley (Robert) Brooks, Robin (Gary) Reiber and Jamie DeMattia; her grandchildren Aaron, Hagen & Amberle Fieberkorn, Brandon Olson, Matthew & Kaitlin Reiber, Deron Whatley, Brandon Reiber, Ryan Durst, Sherri Slaughter and Justin DeMattia; her great-grandchildren: Tala, Ayce, Eli, Isaac, Josiah, Selah, Rafe, Jayden and Olivia; her sisters Patricia Kumer and Debbie Holmes; her brothers Larry & Robert Postlethwait as well as many other relatives and friends. Cassie was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sheri Chumbley and her brothers Tom & David Postlethwait.
