Charles Edward Casey, Sr. of Mineral Ridge died Tuesday morning at St. Elizabeth/Mercy Health Center, Boardman. Charles was born December 4, 1942 in Niles, a son of the late James and Jessie (Lenney) Casey and lived most of his life in this area.
He graduated from Niles High School and went on to serve in the United States Army, Stationed for two years in Germany. Charles was retired from Packard Electric, where he was a machine operator. He enjoyed gambling and going to the casino. He also looked forward to getting coffee in the morning with his niece.
He leaves his son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sue Casey, Jr. of Mineral Ridge; two grandchildren, Katie Parman, Emma Casey and four great grandchildren. Charles also leaves a brother, James Casey of Niles and a sister, Elizabeth Budrevich of Austintown. Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Dave Casey and Thomas Casey; five sisters, Doris Brabant, Vera Wilkinson, Eileen Carr, Shirley Smith and Mary Ellen Csernik.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 28th from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel.
