Charlie passed away early Thursday morning April 2, 2015 at his home of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was born November 5, 1946, in Youngstown, a son of the late George F. Sr. and Alma (Habeger) Hageman. Charlie leaves all those he dearly loved who had made his life complete, his wife Grace E. (Morris), who he married August 22, 1969; his son Wayne A. Hageman (wife Diane Bellish) of North Jackson, his daughter Sheryl L. Hageman O'Brien (husband Michael) of Canfield, his grandchildren, Paul, Brent (Becky) and Jennifer Hageman, also Taylor and Sarah Clawson and a step-grandson, Brady O' Brien, and he leaves Grace's sister, Heidi (Pete) Iler. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George F. Hageman Jr., He leaves George's wife Donna and their children Stephen (Kerry) and their children Walter and Maggy of Missouri, David (Beth) and their children Charlie and Sadie of Virginia. Charlie was proud that David named his first born for him. He leaves his cousins on his mother's side, who he loved and was close to all his life, Jim (Ro) Carden, Jack (Donna) Carden, Dave (Joyce) Habeger, Ernie (Jan) Bernice, Marilyn (Herb) Gill and Virginia Schultz. Charlie was a 1964 graduate of Jackson-Milton High School and his best friends were classmates from the school. He studied several years at YSU where he was always on the Dean's List. He worked at Carbonic Dispenser of Canfield. He worked at DuChanois Battery and Electric in Austintown where he made a lot of life-long friends in his 21 years at DuChanois. Charlie enjoyed riding motorcycles and had the same 1972 Harley FLH from 1979 to 2014 when he gave it to his grandson, Brent. In 1987 when he could no longer ride it as is, he added a sidecar and designed his own hand-controls and reverse. He continued riding until 2010. He attended every Fred Perry Poker Run even when he could no longer ride in them. Fred and Dot Perry and their children were very close friends. Calling hours will be at the Lane Family Funeral Home in Austintown Monday evening from 5 to 8 PM and 10 to 11 AM Tuesday. The service will follow at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Mark Vincent of the Berlin Center United Methodist Church. Charlie will be buried following cremation at the Home Cemetery on McCollum Road bordering Mill Creek Park where he was the current President and a Trustee. Charlie had requested that in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to MVI Hospice Care, 4891 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio, 44505Attn: June, or his home church BCUMC at P.O.
