Charles F. McKee, 89 Canfield: Charles F. McKee, 89 of Canfield, passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Poland Tuesday evening. He was born April 23, 1925 in Westover, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Donald and Faye McKee. Charles served in the U.S. Army during World War II until 1947 and moved to this area after his marriage. He worked as a pipefitter for Republic Steel, Wean United and General Motors, Lordstown. He leaves his wife, the former Margaret Johnson, whom he married June 5, 1948; his daughters, Susan Holzschuh of Johnson City, Tennessee, Ruth (Tim) Trowbridge of Kent; his son, Fred McKee of Berlin Center; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother. At his request, there will be no calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, tributes may take the form of contributions to the American Heart Association, 840 Southwestern Run, Youngstown, OH 44514 or to the American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd., Suite 260 Independence, OH 44131.
