Charles G. "Chuck" Weeks

CORTLAND: Charles "Chuck" G. Weeks, 72, passed away at his home on January 7, 2019. Chuck was born in Mansfield, Pennsylvania on October 24, 1946 to Kenneth L. Sr. & Ethel F. (Jerald) Weeks. After graduating from Bristol High School 1964, he started his career as a salesman. Chuck worked for Biggins Furniture for 18 years. Then he spent 40 years as a salesman for Wollam Chevrolet before retiring. On February 19, 1966, Chuck was united in marriage to the former Virginia Spencer who survives. Chuck stayed active in the Cortland community as a member of the Lions Club. He was an avid racing fan. Chuck was a diehard fan of Dale Earnhardt, Sr. #3, and could be found watching races at Sharon Speedway. Chuck also loved to play golf. Most importantly, however, Chuck was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Besides his wife of 52 years, Chuck is survived by his son Mark Charles (Brenda) Weeks; his grandchildren: Robert, Brandon, Thomas, David, Heidi and Georgette; 5 great-grandchildren; his sisters Kay Orlandi and Ethel Weeks; his brothers Kenneth (Kay) Weeks, Jr. and Thomas (Terry) Weeks as well as many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Marjorie Radar. Visitation for Chuck will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes; Shafer-Winans Chapel where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
