Charles W. Mitchell Jr.

Charles, 90, was born in 1933 to Charles W. Mitchell, Sr. And Margaret M. Robinson in Youngstown, Ohio and passed away May 2nd, 2024 in Lumberton, Texas.

He was a 1952 graduate of Fitch High School.  Charles served 2 years in the Naval Reserve and 4 years in the United States Air Force. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Hattie Mitchell, brother Richard Mitchell, his wife of 66 years, Ruth E. (Miller) Mitchell, two sons Charles E. Mitchell and David L. Mitchell. 

Charles is survived by his two daughters, Debra J. Mitchell of Newark, Ohio and Susan C. Clark (Rick) of Texas, special daughter-in-law Debbie L. Mitchell of Newark, Ohio, seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brother, Robert Mitchell and one sister Peggy, one niece and three nephews. 

Charles was a good father and had many friends throughout his life. 

Many, many thanks to Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves, Texas, Village Creek Rehab and Nursing Home in Lumberton, Texas and Best Hospice for the continued, compassionate love and care as he journeyed home to our Heavenly Father, the Creator of us all. 

A private graveside burial will be at Green Haven Memorial Cemetery in Canfield, Ohio.
