Charles S. Dinges

WARREN: Charles "Bud" "Chuck" Dinges, 76, passed away at Hospice House Thursday, August 22, 2019. Chuck was born on July 30, 1943 in Mendota, IL to Lester & Christine Dinges.
Chuck proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, he returned home to marry Judith Jenkins on January 18, 1969.
Chuck went to work as a civilian contractor, working in air field logistics before joining the Air Force Reserves, from which he retired in 2003. He was soon back to work at Youngstown Air Force Base, in air field management for a contractor, until he retired permanently in June of 2019.
Chuck was active in many area Veterans groups. He was also a man of faith, and was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Besides his wife of 50 years, Chuck is survived by his son Erich (Stephanie) Dinges, his grandchildren, Odessa and Jackson; his sisters, Rose (Ray) Smith and Mary Ann Dinges, and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jim and Bill Dinges, and his sister Aileen Glasscoe.
Visitation for Chuck will be held on Wednesday August 28, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Lane Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark; Warren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church; 3020 Reeves Rd NE, Warren, OH 44483; where the family will receive friends for an hour prior to the service. Burial at All Souls Cemetery will follow with military honors.
