Charlotte Moelter

Charlotte Moelter, 103, of Salem, Ohio, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 24, 2024, at Salem North Healthcare Center.

Charlotte was born January 22, 1921, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late George and Bertha (Szush) Gantz. A lifelong area resident, she worked in the offices of Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 13 years, retiring in 1976.

Charlotte had a love for life, enjoying dancing and developing a passion for cars. She took great pride in always having a well-maintained car to drive. An avid reader, Charlotte particularly enjoyed National Geographic and Science magazines.

Besides her husband, Francis Moelter, whom she married on September 26, 1942, and her daughter, Patricia Cook, she was preceded in death by her sister, Isabel (Robert) Goodridge. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Jim) Pedro; three grandsons, Kenneth (Pam) Cook, Timothy Cook, and Michael Pedro, and four great-grandsons, Brandon, Ryan, Carter and Cameron Cook.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30th  from 11:00 am to12:45 pm at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, followed by a service at 1:00 p.m.
