Canfield- Funeral services will be 11AM Monday at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel for Chester Sarver formerly from Hillside Dr. Canfield who died early Friday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Sarver was born March 13, 1918 in Youngstown the son of Chester and Mary (Bott) Sarver. Chester was a machinist at Wean United for 34 years retiring in 1985. He was also a member of West Side Baptist Church and a member of the Mahoning Valley Colonial Brigade and was very active during the Bi-Centennial in 1976. Chester enjoyed wood working. He is survived by his son Ronald and Linda Sarver of Austintown, his sister Mary Cannon of Youngstown, two grandchildren Jill Casciano, Jodi and Ron Ziadeh and three great grandchildren Katelyn, Dina and Kyle He was preceded in death by his wife the former Dorothy Stevens Sarver whom he married in 1937 died in 1998 and his brother Robert. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. The family requests that Memorial tributes take the form of donations to the church.
