Christina M. Finnigan

Christina M. Finnigan, age 84 of Warren, passed away at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital on August 28, 2020. Christina was born in Long Branch, New Jersey on November 6, 1935 to William & Christina (Coleman) Matthews.

On June 15, 1957, Christina was united in marriage to the love of her life, William Finnigan who survives.

Christina found the greatest joy in serving her Savior. She was generous with her time and selfless in ministering to the needs of others in every capacity. She was well known for her warm motherly hugs. Her delicious home cooking was not only enjoyed by her family and friends but other organizations such as camps, schools and churches.

Simple pleasures were treasured by Christina; rocking on her front porch, enjoying sunsets at the lake with her husband and watching the birds at the kitchen window. Her life was characterized by contentment and simplicity.

Besides her husband of 63 years, Chris will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Deb (Kevin) Garwood; her sons Steve, Timothy and Joel (Merlyn Misiona) Finnigan; her grandchildren: Kevin Jr. (Sarah) & Justin Garwood, Charis (Ben) Haines, Ryan Garwood and Elizabeth Finnigan and her great-grandchildren: Samantha & Kevin III Garwood and Theodora Haines.

Visitation for Christina will be held on Thursday September 3, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church: 4747 Warren Road, Cortland, OH 44410 where a funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m.
