Christine "Chrissy" Weimer

Christine “Chrissy” Weimer, 59, passed away peacefully at her home in Youngstown, Ohio on March 20th , 2024. Born on July 6th, 1964, Christine was the beloved daughter of the late Richard E. Hofus and Charlene Ann (Pollard) Hofus, and a proud graduate of Austintown Fitch High School, Class of 1983.

Christine's unwavering dedication and love were most evident in her role as a mother to her two sons, Gary and Dustin Weimer, and as a grandmother to her beloved granddaughter Emma. For Christine, being a mother and grandmother was the cornerstone of her life, and she wholeheartedly devoted herself to her family. Upon graduating from high school, she dedicated many years of her life to the Youngstown Developmental Center, where she retired in 2012 from the housekeeping department. Beyond her professional life, Christine found joy in various hobbies. She was passionate about crafting, shopping, and baking. Her Christmas cookies were legendary among friends and family, but it was her cooking, particularly her sauce and meatballs, that won the hearts of her loved ones.

Christine is survived by her loving children, Gary Weimer and Dustin Weimer (fiancée Rachel), and her cherished granddaughter, Emma. She is also survived by her siblings: Denise (Dain) Bancroft, Richard (Kris) Hofus, Kerstin (Joe) Fields, and Matt (Diane) Hofus, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, at St. Mary’s, located at 3504 S Main St, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a mass at 10:00 AM. A procession will then proceed to Resurrection Cemetery.
