Christine Pierce, 87 of Howland Township departed this life on Sunday, December 22,2024 at St. Joseph Health Center Warren, OH. She was born on January 14,1937 in Macfarlan, Ritchie County, WV. A daughter of the late Vernon and Ethel Mearl McCray Haught. She married Richard Kesling, May 26,1956 (who proceeds her in death) in which they shared two children whom survive her, Kimberly Strohmeyer and Mark Kesling both of Howland, OH. Christine was a graduate of Dodridge County High School where she played the trumpet in the band. Christine re-married to Allen Pierce on April 30,1976 in Berryville Clark County, VA who proceeded her in death December 8,2006. She was a hard worker and retired after many devoted years to Packard Electric where she was a Laborer. She was a guided light and pillar of strength for all who crossed her paths. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of love and the simple, yet profound joy of caring for others. Christine is also survived by her three grandchildren, Heather Kondilas (Josh), Michael Strohmeyer II both of Howland, OH and Kristen Howell (Jeremey) of Daphne, AL. As well as 6 great-grandchildren Carissa Harris, Stephen Kondilas (Nicole) both of Kinsman, OH, Noah Howell, Carter Howell both of Daphne, AL, Brooklyn Strohmeyer and Micah Strohmeyer both of Howland, OH. Along with 4 great- great grandkids. Christine enjoyed many things and truly made life beautiful. She loved Amish Country, making trips to WV, singing in the choir, teaching Vacation Bible School, bowling and all the time she could get with her family. She was a longtime member of Beacon of Hope Baptist Church. She is also proceeded in death by her 4 siblings, Naomi Dillon, Gerald Haught, Arlene Bland, Grant Haught and her son-in-law Michael Strohmeyer I. Christine was a loving wife, mother, granny, sister and aunt. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Lane Family Funeral Home 180 Garfield Drive NE Warren, OH Friday, January 3,2024 from 12pm-2pm with Pastor Gary Hennessey presiding. Graveside burial will be to follow at Howland Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Beacon of Hope Baptist Church 3559 N. Park Ave Warren, OH 44483.
