Clara A. Ewing

Austintown- Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel from 7-9 p.m. Monday for Clara A. Ewing of Austintown who passed away at her residence Wednesday afternoon. She was born October 18, 1924 in Perryopolis, PA a daughter of Harry J. and Nellie (Stimmel) Piper. She was a telephone operator for the Ravenna Arsenal and for a phone company in PA. She was a member of the Eastern Star and liked crocheting. She is survived by a daughter Cynthia Landis with whom she made her home and a son Raymond Robert Ewing of Florida, one sister Marie White of Washington , PA, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert C. Ewing whom she married September 13, 1943 and died July 3, 1992, and a brother Kenneth Piper. Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of West Austintown. There are no funeral services.
