Clare (White) Julian, 86, of Youngstown, Ohio, departed this earth on July 3rd, 2024 at The Inn at Glenellen in North Lima, Ohio. She was born August 5th, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clare and Lillian White. Clare graduated from Austintown Fitch in 1955 where she was a cheerleader, a member of the National Honor Society and performed in the play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. Clare remained close friends with classmates Mrs. Patricia (Hanko) Chester and Mrs. Diane (Cline) Koch.
Clare cherished her husband, Patrick Julian, of 65 wonderful years before his passing on August 23rd, 2023.
Clare worked as an IBM operator at the local bank until she started a family and returned to work in 1980 as a Montessori Teaching Assistant. She returned to school and became certified as a Montessori Educator. Upon graduation, she established The Blossom Montessori School in Warren, Ohio where as a director, she imparted hundreds of preschool and kindergarten children, including several of her grandchildren.
Growing up, Clare was a member of Four Mile Run Christian Church, became a member of the former St. Rocco’s Episcopal Church until it’s closing when she became a member of St. James Episcopal Church. She sang in the choir, was a Girl Scout Troop Leader and loved hosting family and holiday dinners.
Clare leaves to cherish her memory, her two sons, Patrick (Beth) Julian, Brett (Marie) Julian; a daughter, Patty Julian; six grandchildren, Patrick (Rachael) Julian, Jennie (Ryan) Sanderbeck, Dr. Gerald (McKenzie) Julian, Joshua (Noel) McNamee, Gregory (Caitlin) Julian, John (Danielle) Virostko; and five great-grandchildren, Clare Sanderbeck, Amelia Sanderbeck, Aria Julian, Lofton Virostko, and Luca Virostko; a brother, Dennis (Michelle) White, as well as several nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Richard White.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday July 10th from 4pm to 7pm at Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel.
Services will be held Thursday July 11th at 10:30 at the chapel of peace at Green Haven Cemetery.
