Clarence L. Stowe

Clarence L. Stowe, 93, passed away Friday morning, November 9, 2018 at Sharon Regional Hospital. Clarence was born on July 24, 1925 in Masury, OH, a son of the late Clarence C. and Ruby (Hummell) Stowe. He attended Brookfield School and joined the United States Navy to serve his country on September 27, 1943. While in the Navy he was stationed in Pearl Harbor and San Pedro, CA. He was a 2nd class officer on a currier aircraft and received the President Unit Citation. After his honorable discharge on March 22, 1945, he worked at Westinghouse for 38 years until he retired in April of 1984. He was a member of AFLCIO Local 617 Electric, and was the Union Stewart and group leader for many years. He loved to bowl; he bowled in the Sharon Steel Open Hearth League and bowled a perfect game of 300. He also enjoyed coin finding, going to casinos, fishing, and camping. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. Clarence will be deeply missed by his loving children, Gina (Steve) Sabulsky of Masury, Patty Cardwell of Sharpsville, and Terry (Robin) Stowe of North Bloomfield; grandchildren, Terry C. (Jenna) Stowe, Brandon A. Stowe, Jessica M. Stowe, Siarra L. Stowe, Sheri Sabulsky and her fianc Rick Fraley, Stephen (Jayme) Sabulsky, and Sean(Barbara) Sabulsky; and five great-granchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Velma L. Stowe of 61 years, whom he married on June 8, 1946 and passed away on May 26, 2008; an infant daughter; and his son in law Jack Cardwell. Funeral services for Clarence will be held on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at 7:00PM at Lane Family Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel located at 6923 Warren Sharon Road in Brookfield. Friends and family may visit three hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 4-7:00PM. Burial will take place at Brookfield Township Cemetery.
