Clifford Jones

Clifford Jones, age 89, of Brookfield passed away peacefully on January 24, 2025. He was born in Princeton, WV on January 3, 1936, to the late Thomas and Susie Mathena Jones.

Clifford was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family deeply. He was known for his kindness and generosity. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens.

Clifford was a proud veteran serving his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber factory for 18 years and started his own feed store Trumbull Jones Feed that he ran with his wife for 22 years. He was also a faithful soldier the Salvation Army Church in Sharon, PA. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years in March, Rose Jones; children, Laura (Renee) and Jeff (Laurie) Jones; grandchildren, Collette Jones, Kyle Jones, Nick (Jake) Gray, John (Theresa) Bates, Ashley Cannon; brother, Ronnie Jones and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Calling hours will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM Friday January 31, 2025, at Lane Funeral Home, Madasz Chapel 6923 Warren Sharon Rd. Brookfield, OH 44403.
