Clifford W. Allender of 1737 Naylor-Lloyd Rd., Building 300, Apt. 18, Girard, Ohio, died Sunday at home after an extended illness. He was 72. Mr. Allender was born in Marietta, Ohio on January 31, 1934, a son of John E. and E. Leona (Freeland) Allender. He served our country in the U. S. Navy. Clifford was a Truck Driver most his life having retired from Zumstein Trucking in 1999. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching TV, professional wrestling, as well as western shows like Gunsmoke & Bonanza. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Ina Allender, Bristolville, OH, & Theresa Johnson, Leavittsburg, OH; 3 sisters, Freda “Bobby” O’Hara, Warren, Ohio, Rosemary LaRocca, Masury, OH, and Helen Gelhausen, Willowick, OH; and 2 granddaughters, Halie Allender & Trinity Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brothers, Francis & Wayne. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Wednesday at Madasz Funeral Chapel, Brookfield, with Rev. Dennis Bewley, officiating. Calling hours will be scheduled from 5-7 PM. Burial will be in Hartford Twp. Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Renal Center, Warren, Ohio.
