Clyde G. Hicks

Diamond- Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday at Baptist Bible Church in Paris Twp. for Clyde G. Hicks age 69 of 4664 Rt. 225, Diamond, OH who died Friday eve. at the Cleveland Clinic. Clyde was born March 26, 1933 in Green Sulphur Springs, WV and was the son of Charles and Lura (Hedrick) Hicks. He retired in 1989 from Falls Steel Tube in Newton Falls where he had been plant manager. He was a member of the church and enjoyed woodworking and gardening and had served in the Army during the Korean War. Clyde leaves his wife Nellie (Hatcher) Hicks whom he married Oct. 29, 1959, two daughters Stephanie Bolinger of Albion, IN, Melinda Hicks of Morgantown, WV, four sisters, Ova France of Diamond, OH, Joy Foster of Newton Falls, OH, Bonnie Sutton of Waynesville, NC, Devota Shumate of Madison, IN., a brother Orlie Hicks of Lake Milton, 3 grandchildren, Luke, Faith and Seth Bolinger. He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel from 6-9 PM Monday and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. The family requests that material contributions take the form of donations to the Baptist Bible Church Missions Fund.
