Craig Ellsworth Wilson

Gustavus- Craig Wilson, age 61, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Craig was born January 14, 1957 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late Craig E. and Virginia P. (Mayer) Wilson, Sr. He was a 1975 graduate of Joseph Badger High School. Craig was an Operating Engineer for Local 66 for 30 years. He was a member of Gustavus Federated Church. He enjoyed riding his Harley, waterskiing, participating in lumberjack contests, where he was honored in 2005 as the All Around State Champion. He relished turning motorcycle engines into Hot Saws. Besides his parents, Craig is preceded in death by his sister Ellen Marie Wilson, father and mother-in-law Harry and Catherine Eckstrom, and sister-in-law Sara Brainard. He will be forever missed by his wife of 31 years, the former Vicki Eckstrom, whom he married June 7, 1986; his siblings, Karen (Phil) Ryder of Havelock, N.C., Joyce (Gary) Morrison of Cherry Valley, Kenny (Carol) Wilson of Gustavus, Dale (Karen) Wilson of Kinsman, John (Jill) Wilson of Gustavus, Debbie (Brad) Masters of Gustavus, Lisa (Victor) Doran of Tampa, FL., and Leslie (Gene) Trask of Southington; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces. Friends may call Friday from 5-8PM at the Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St. in Cortland. Calling hours will also be 11-1PM Saturday at the Gustavus Federated Church in Gustavus, 8850 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd. (Corners of Rt. 87 and Rt. 193) Farmdale, Ohio 44417, where the memorial service will begin at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 8550 W.
