Cranford C. Jackson of Trafalgar IN., a former resident of McDonald, Ohio passed away August 10, 2002 at Johnson Memorial Hospital Franklin IN. He was born January 28, 1920 in Bomcombe county North Carolina. His parents were Charles H. and Emma (Powell) Jackson. He married Virginia A. Evans in 1945, she preceded him in death on February 23, 1999. He then married Barbara J. Miller of Trafalgar IN., on September 18, 1999. She survives. Other survivors are five stepchildren, Joseph D. Miller of Columbus, IN., Mary and Martha Miller of Morgantown, Susannah VanWinkle of Morgantown, IN. and Rebekah Haugh, Trafalgar IN., two sisters-in-laws, Edna Baun, Youngstown OH., Gertrude Bodendofer, Wickliff, OH., two nephews Bruce Savage of Marblehead, OH., Dennis Savage Cambridge OH., nieces, Geraldine Christmas Canfield, OH., Patricia Newkim California and Gail Hatton Jamesville, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by a brother Frank Jackson and two sisters Lucille Savage, and Elsie Jackson. He was a veteran of World War II serving in Africa, Italy and the Philippines. He was a member of the Wickliffe Christian Church Youngstown, Ohio and the Moose Lodge 669 Bucyrus, OH. He worked for 34 ½ years at Republic Steel Mill at Youngstown. He retired in 1981. Services to be held by Reverend Harry Bolen at the Wickliffe Christian Church Youngstown, OH., on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Calling hours at the Austintown Chapel of Lane Funeral Home Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Burial at Four Mile Run Cemetery Youngstown, OH.
