Mrs. Cynthia L. Knutti, 64, of Mineral Ridge, passed away Friday afternoon, September 13th, at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born January 20, 1960 in Youngstown, a daughter of Benedict and Gertrude (Rochford) Crocker.
Cynthia was a 1978 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and worked as a secretary/receptionist for Extreme Machine and Fabrication in Hermitage for more than twenty years, retiring in 2022.
She married William W. Knutti, Jr. on September 3, 1977. They met on her 16th birthday and went on to share 47 years of marriage and many happy memories together. He survives her.
Cynthia enjoyed traveling all over the world with her husband while he served in the U.S. Air Force and after. She was active with the Girl Scouts, serving as a troop leader, and she was very active in high school theater where she met her husband and many lifelong friends. She also enjoyed playing Bingo with her sister CeCe, and loved hosting the holidays, especially Christmas. Her greatest joy was her beloved family and bringing everyone together and spreading joy and happiness. Cynthia was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Besides her husband, Cynthia is survived by two children; Kristi D. (Jeffrey) Walizer, Jr., of Frederick, MD and William B. (Heidi) Knutti, of Louisville, OH. She also leaves behind a sister, Cecelia McNair, of Mineral Ridge; a brother, Daniel Crocker, of Maine; two granddaughters; Keira and Violet; a brother-in-law, Jim; sister-in-law, Lisa; sister-in-law, Kathy; her beloved cockapoo, Tolly; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Sharon Correia, and a brother Michael Crocker.
In accordance with her wishes there will be no funeral services or calling hours. A celebration of Cynthia's life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 12th at the Louisville First Baptist Church, 1910 Monter Ave, Louisville, OH 44641.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in Cynthia's memory.
Arrangements for Mrs. Knutti are being provided by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.
