Cyril M Tatarka

YOUNGSTOWN—Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, for Mr. Cyril M. Tatarka, 79, of 1137 Townsend Ave. who died Monday morning in St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Cyril was born June 6, 1923 in Youngstown, the son of John and Mary Markovich Tatarka and was a lifelong area resident. He had been employed as a truck driver for LTL 30 years retiring in 1982. He attended St. Cyril and Methodist Catholic Church and belonged to the Civilian Conservation Corps. His wife, the former Dorothy Enney whom he married in 1945 died in 1991. Cyril is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Phillis of Petersburg, OH and a son Thomas Tatarka of New Castle, PA, three grandsons, Shawn Fleps of Youngstown, and John and Chris Tatarka of Austintown. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and four brothers, Robert, Steve, Frank, and Edward Tatarka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
