Daniel Marino

Canfield- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church for Daniel Marino who died Thursday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital surrounded by his family. Daniel was born November 8, 1947 in San Giuliano DiPuglia, Italy the son of Vincent and Rose Cicora Marino and came to the United States at the age of 18 in 1966. Daniel worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube as a Yardmaster until 1978. In 1979 Daniel and his wife Anna opened Marino's Restaurant in Austintown; in 1996 he began working at Trumbull Correctional Institute as the Food Service Coordinator. Dan attended private college in Italy and then attended Youngstown State University. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, loved to read and enjoyed cooking, grilling and was proud to serve new dishes to his family and customers. He enjoyed meeting and greeting his customers at his restaurant. Dan enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandson Maximus and was proud of his three son's accomplishments. Dan will be sadly missed by his wife Anna (Maddamma) Marino whom he married July 10, 1971, sons; Dr. Vincent (Sarah) Marino of Poland, John and Daniel Marino both of Austintown, sister Nancy Sciarra of Mineral Ridge and grandson Maximus. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Donato. Family and friends may call from 9am Tuesday until 10:30 am Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, where prayers will be held at 10:30 am prior to leaving for Mass at St. Joseph Church.
