Daniel Victor Bienko

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Monday, December 17, 2018 at St. Michael Church for Daniel Victor Bienko, 80, of Canfield. Dan was born August 13, 1938 in Cleveland the son of Alexander J. and Jane (Piorkowski) Bienko and moved to Canfield in 1976. He was a Navy Veteran and graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Architecture. Dan was a licensed architect in Cleveland and Youngstown for 50 years. He was a member of St. Michael Church. Daniel leaves his wife, of 58 years, the former Mavourneen R. Groghan, whom he married August 12, 1960 in Cleveland. Dan also leaves 3 children; Mary (Steve) DeGenaro, Daniel Paul Bienko and Belinda (Bud) Skertic, five grandchildren; Stephen (Kristie Xian) DeGenaro, Anthony DeGenaro and fiance Rachel Ripley, Daniel Victor Bienko II and fiance Cassandra Cook, Alexandra Skertic, and Emma Skertic, and two siblings; Alex (Angela) Bienko and Gloria (Richard) Toth, as well as a sister-in-law Kathy Reinhart and several nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his parents; Alex and Jane Bienko and his in-laws, Paul and Rose Groghan. Family and friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 AM Monday at St. Michael Church where the mass will begin at 11 AM. The family entrusted services to Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Michaels Church in Daniels name.
