David J. Durda, 81, of Austintown, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2024.
Mr. Durda was born on June 11, 1942, a son of the late Julius C. and Rose A. (Hoffer) Durda. David was a 1960 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He later went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He married his wife, the former Alice Babyak, on September 12, 1964, and together they would share nearly 60 years of marriage and raise two children.
David was a licensed barber and later worked at General Motors Lordstown for thirty years. In his free time Dave enjoyed golfing, watching the Cleveland Browns and Guardians, and truly loved the time he spent in Myrtle Beach whether with his entire family or with his wife Alice.
He leaves behind his wife Alice; children David D. (Stacy) Durda and Amy (Jeff) Cleer; grandchildren Arianna Martinelli, David P. Durda, Madison Martinelli, Chloe Durda and Danielle (Steve) Belus; great grandchildren Janessa, Brielle, and Shayleigh; siblings Margaret (Al) Sams, Michael (Robbin) Durda; and sister-in-law Carole Babyak. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dolores Lane; sister-in-law Sylvia Bucci and brother-in-law Douglas Babyak.
In keeping with David’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
