David L. Evans

David Evans, 78 of Niles passed Monday, August 19, 2024 at St. Joseph Hospital, Warren. He was born April 27, 1946 in Hamilton, Ohio, a son of the late Harry S. and Josephine (Scott) Evans and came to this area in the early 70’s.

 David was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War. He worked for General Motors, Lordstown Plant for 33 years before retiring.

David was an avid golfer and looked forward to spending time with his children and grandchidren and attending all of their sporting events. He leaves his wife, Fran E. Evans; his children, Todd (Elizabeth) Evans of Payne, Ohio, Kristina (Michael) Beirne of Powell, Ohio, Michael (Lisa Davis) Evans of Niles; nine grandchildren, Justin (Tiffany) Evans, Nicholas Evans, Jenna (Michael) Burgess, Jack Beirne, David Beirne, Nolan Evans, Andrew Beirne, Nathan Davis, Sarah Martin and Michael King. Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by a sister, Claire Wolf and a brother Richard Evans

 Friends may call on Friday, August 23rd from 10:00 am until 10:45 a.m at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
