 Deborah L. Allender,75 of Mineral Ridge died early Monday morning, August 5, 2024 at St. Elizabeth/Mercy Health, Youngstown. Deborah was born September 13, 1948 in Warren, a daughter of the late Eugene and Evelyn (Phillips) Gomsi and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1966. Deborah was a member of Crossroads Church and a previous member of West Austintown United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers and reading. Most important to Deborah was spending time with her family. She looked forward to family vacations, especially trips to Myrtle Beach and Lake Erie. Deborah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her husband, James H. Allender, whom she married June 4, 1973; two children, Rebecca Fisher of Champion, Perry (Dawn) Allender of Holland Patent, NY; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Dennis Gomsi of Parkersburg, WV and Eugene Gomsi of Niles. Besides her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Gomsi. Friends may call on Friday, August 9th at Crossroads Church, 554 S. Meridian Rd. Youngstown from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 pm.
