Deborah Ann Hooper, or Debbie as family and friends knew her, died peacefully in her sleep on June 28th 2024. Debbie was born March 23rd 1960 to Dolores and Romeo Latessa, Jr. She is survived by her spouse of 45 years George Hooper, their 4 children Melinda (Joe) Bennett, Jason (Bridgette) Hooper, Alyssa (Zack) Pietruszka, and Kayla Hooper, 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, her father, sister Lisa Latessa-Quade, and brother Michael Latessa. She was preceded in death by her mother and brother Romeo Latessa, III.
Born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, Debbie married her high school sweetheart George who was an active-duty service member in the United States Army. As a military wife, she made countless sacrifices during numerous deployments over a period of 20 years. The Hoopers lived throughout the United States and countries abroad to include Alaska, Texas, North Carolina, Washington, and Germany before ultimately settling back home to finish raising their family.
Debbie was best known for her silly sense of humor, her famous homemade sauce and stuffing, being a night owl, having the inside scoop, and pouring her heart and soul into her beloved pets. She loved low budget movies, sunbathing, going to concerts and BINGO. She enjoyed the Canfield Fair every summer, Pepsi with ice, the Log Jammer at Kennywood and Molnar’s cinnamon rolls. She leaves behind a large extended family who remember her with love and affection.
