Deborah Marie Hallas passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning, November 13, 2018, at Briarfield Manor Assisted Living Center. Deb was born June 18, 1952 in Youngstown the daughter of John and Joann (Higgins) Antal and was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Boardman High School class of 1971 and worked as a clerk for Nemenz Food Stores. Deb also worked as a teachers aid for Head Start, as well as a cook for JFK High School and Ashley Nursing Home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish - St. Catherines Church. Deb leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Ronald J. Hallas whom she married on September 30, 1972, three children, Pam (John) Darney of Berlin Center, Joseph (Susie) Hallas of Phoenix, AZ, and Dan (Jessica Feuston) Hallas of Garfield Heights, as well as four grandchildren, Jack, Harper, Dominic, and Kylie. Deb also leaves her step mother Joann Antal. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Donald and John Thomas Antal, and two sisters Colleen Antal and Patricia Viglio. A memorial service celebrating Debs life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to Hospice of the Valley in Debs name.
