Dennis R. Pierce

Dennis R. Pierce, age 59, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 15, 1958 in Warren to the late Raymond W. Pierce and Ruth L. Strope. Dennis was a lifelong area resident, he was a graduate of Bristol Local. He was a press operator at Kennametal in Orwell for over 38 years. Dennis enjoyed Square dancing, he also was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. Dennis is survived by his step-father Kenneth Strope, Sr., his siblings David Pierce, Douglas Pierce, Jim (Connie) Pierce, Kenneth (Tiffany) Strope, Jr., step-brother Mark Strope, step-sister Linda (Richard) Gillon, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 5-7PM, Wednesday, May 17th at the Lane Funeral Home, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St. in Cortland. Funeral services will be Noon Thursday at the funeral home.
