Dolores Woods

Dolores S. Woods, 80 Funeral services will be1:00 p.m. Monday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel for Dolores S. Woods, 80 of Crandall Medical Center, Sebring, formerly of Youngstown who died Wednesday afternoon at Crandall. Dolores was born June 6, 1938 in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Tobias) Harapko. She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where she was a member of the Lydia Circle and had volunteered for the charity breakfast. Dolores volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen and made quilts for St. Vincent DePaul. She served as a judge for the elections board and had been a volunteer with childrens eye screening tests. Dolores was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Miriam Chapter #278. She enjoyed visiting nursing home residents and always supported her families sports activities.She had been a Girl Scout leader and was also instrumental in creating the library at Kirkmere Elementary School. Dolores leaves her daughter, Diana (Tim) Coler; a son, Dr. Robert J. Woods; two grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Truitt and Tim E. Coler. Dolores also leaves two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Owen and a brother, John Harapko. Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Swoger. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Akron Childrens Hospital, 6505 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512.
