AUSTINTOWN-There will be Services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lane Family Funeral Homes-Austintown Chapel for Donald L. Huntley, 77, who passed away Wednesday evening, April 10, 2019 at his residence. Don was born January 16, 1942 in Youngstown, a son of Austin P. and Pearl (Richie) Huntley. He was employed as a Machinist with Wean United for 30 years, retiring in 2003. Don was a 1960 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Don was an active member for many years of Argus Lodge No. 545 F & A. M., where he served as Master in 1985 and was the dedicated secretary from 1998 until 2013. He was also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite-Valley of Youngstown, the Al Koran Shrine Temple of Cleveland; the Youngstown Shrine Club and Aut Mori Grotto. Don loved and was loved by his family and many friends. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing and had a green thumb when it came to gardening. Don is survived by his wife of 59 years, the former Sandra L. Brown, whom he married May 9, 1959; his children, Deborah Gordon of Austintown, Karen Farmer of Texas, Lee Huntley of Campbell, Tim Huntley of Austintown and Cynthia (James) Parise of Austintown; 17 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and his nephew, Chachi (Sharon) Day of Mineral Ridge. Besides his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sister, Lynn Day and his brothers, James and Perry Huntley. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
