Donna B. Salinsky

On November 3rd, 2018, Donna B. Salinsky joined her soulmate, Jack F. Salinsky in Heaven. Donna and her twin sister, Sandy Rothgeb, were born in Punxsutawney, PA on October 3rd, 1948, daughters of Willis and Kathryn Beckman. The family relocated during childhood to Boardman, Ohio and she later graduated from Boardman High School. Donna built a career and a following with her business, McKenzies Korner, where she designed, constructed, and sold primitive woodwork. She became a sought-after vendor at Christmas in the Woods as well as local retail stores. Her creative designs were unique and her craftsmanship was exquisite, a business her daughters hope to one day continue in her honor. Donna was fun, vibrant and danced as if no one was watching. She made friends feel like family and her house always felt like home to everyone she knew. Her laughter was contagious and her energy filled a room. As a mother, grandmother and aunt, Donna made magical memories for her family. She turned the ordinary into the extraordinary and embraced her family with her strength and love. Donna is survived by her daughters, Ashley (Kenny) Salinsky Lucas of Canfield, Lindsey (Jeff) Naumoff of Canfield; her beloved grandchildren Austin and Raegan Lucas; and her sister, Sandy (Robert) Rothgeb of Boardman and her children. Donna will be deeply missed and treasured by family and friends. In celebration of Donnas life, friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel on Friday, November 9th from 5-7pm; where a Memorial Service will immediately follow the calling hours.
