Donna J. Kronauer

Cortland – Donna J. Kronauer, 83, entered eternal rest to be with Jesus, surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday afternoon, August 15, 2024 at the Hospice House. 

Donna was born on May 20, 1941 in Lorain, OH, a daughter of Raymond and Mary Katherine Dolamore. 

She married the love of her life Andrew W. Kronauer on November 7, 1964 and began their family together. Once her five children were grown up, she became a retired homemaker. She was a mom or grammy to everyone in the neighborhood and befriended everyone she met. She loved being with her family and her dogs and having family gatherings and parties. She enjoyed coloring, gardening her flowers, watching tv, movies, and birds outside, listening to music, taking road trips, especially to the lake, and a good battle of Rummy “Cedar Drive Rules”. 

Donna will be deeply missed by her loving children, Raymond (Darlene) Kronauer, Andrew N. Kronauer, Lisa (Jim) Finch, John (Danni) Kronauer, and Roberta (Mike) Merrmian; her cherished grandchildren, Chad (Brenna), Victoria (Brad), Brandon (Amanda), Josh, Ashley, Ryan, Julia (Michelle), Jason, Dustin, Joe, Jacob, Logan, Austin, Andrew, and Ana; and great-grandchildren, Hayleigh, Kyleigh, Abraham, Spencer, Gabriel, and Dominic. 

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Andrew W. Kronauer, who passed away on June 19, 1996. 

Family and friends may visit from 6-9:00PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Shafer-Winans Chapel, located at 164 North High St. in Cortland. Visitation will continue Friday August 23, 2024 from 10-12:00PM. Funeral services will follow at 12:00PM. 

Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Bazetta Township.
