Services will be held honoring the life of Doris Carpenter who passed unexpectedly at age 65 on the morning of Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic due to complications of Leukemia. Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Lane Funeral Home located at 5797 Mahoning Ave. Youngstown, Ohio from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Lane Funeral Home with viewing starting from noon and funeral services starting at 1pm followed by a commitment ceremony at Green Haven Cemetery.
Doris was born and raised in Lake Milton, Ohio daughter of Caroline and William Braham. She was a recently retired IV & Pharmacy Tech from Akron Children’s Hospital. Doris was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Grandma to her 5 grandchildren. Doris had a zest for experiencing life and spending time with her family. She was constant, loyal and caring to all of those who were lucky to be loved by her.
She was the devoted wife of 45 years to Donald Carpenter of Lake Milton, OH, loving mother of Christy Anderson and son-in-law George Anderson and proud grandmother to their 3 boys Christian, Declan and Ian of New Middleton, OH, and Donald Joseph Carpenter and daughter-in-law Jeana Carpenter and proud grandmother to their 2 daughters Andi and Aviana of Mineral Ridge, OH. In addition, she is being mourned by her sisters and brother-in-laws; Jennie Wood and Kim Hoover, Margie and John Russell, June and Art Pantalone, Thomas Lemmon as well as brothers and sister-in-laws; Larry and Rose Braham, Bill Braham, Jim and Vicki Braham, Ray and Melissa Braham and Bill Donahue, Tim and Marilyn Donahue and her family-in-love the Carpenter Family of Alliance, OH, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends all who lovingly adored her.
She is preceded in death by her step-father Fred “Bud” Donahue, sister Karen Lemmon, mother Caroline Donahue and sister-in-law Kathy Braham and Linda Donahue.
Doris loved to write poetry, watch her grandchildren’s activities, to travel whenever possible and was well- known for her coveted brownies that made it to every family event.
