Dorothy "Dottie" Genetta

Dorothy “Dottie” Virginia (Bishop) Genetta, 99, of Girard, Ohio, passed away on the morning of April 13^th, 2024 at Continuing Health Care of Niles. She was born in Friendsville, Maryland to the late EB Bishop and Bertha Olive (Friend) Bishop, on October 11^th, 1924. After graduation, Dottie became a homemaker, raising her 2 sons, the late David Williams and James Williams Jr.

Dottie met her husband, Steve Genetta, one night while bowling and they would be married on June 17^th, 1974, spending 50 years together, creating memories and building foundation with their children and step-children.

Dottie and her husband retired to Florida, where they enjoyed golfing, as well as entertaining their friends and family.

Dottie’s love and memory will be carried on by her husband, her step-daughter, Joyce (Frank) Restaino, daughter-in-law, Patricia Williams; grandchildren, Stephanie (Doug) Burdette, James Williams Jr.; great grandchildren, Carly (James), Vincent, and Gina (Derek), and a great-great grandchild, Wesley. As well as several nieces and nephews that Dottie held near and dear to her heart.

Dottie is preceded in death by her parents, her 2 sons, and a step-son, Gary (Susan) Genetta, siblings Gennieve (Paul) Cuppet, Ward and Paul.

Per the wishes of Dottie, there will be no services.
