Dorothy E. Neal

Youngstown- Funeral services will be held 1PM Sat. at the Lane Funeral Home-Austintown Chapel for Dorothy E. Neal age 96 formerly of S. Hazlewood in Youngstown who died early Thursday morning at Willowbrook Christian Home in Columbus, OH Dorothy was born Nov. 19, 1906 in Punxsutawney, Pa. and was the daughter of Godfrey and Catherine (Hartman) Burkett. She moved to this area in 1926 and was a member of Mahoning United Methodist Church, the Blue Rae Club of the church and loved gardening. Her husband Clayson Neal whom she married June 14, 1926 died April 22, 1961. She is survived by a daughter Kathryn Corroto of South Bend, IN, two sons Ernest Neal of Columbus, OH, William Neal of Waxahachie, TX, a sister Ethel Gray of New Port Richey, FL., 12 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Nellie Gahagan and 6 brothers, Homer, Emery, Cyril, Lee, Ray and Eugene Burkett. Friends may call from 11-1 PM Sat. at the funeral home.
