Dorothy Jean Musgrove

CANFIELD-Dorothy Jean Musgrove, 90, passed away Monday afternoon, March 30, 2020 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. She was born September 29, 1929 in Oronogo, Missouri, a daughter of Leslie Earl and Minnie Mae (Thornton) Smith. Dorothy and her husband Bob moved to Youngstown in 1951 and then to Canfield in 1976. She was employed in the accounting dept. at Bliss Manufacturing, retiring in June of 1992. Dorothy was a member of Canfield United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy’s husband, Robert L. Musgrove, whom she married January 15, 1950, died Friday, March 27, 2020. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Ronald Lee (Joanne) Musgrove of Austintown, Mark Alan (Donna) Musgrove of Boardman and Robert Brian Musgrove of San Bernardino, CA; her daughter-in-law, JoAnn Musgrove of Warren; her grandchildren, Ronald (Erin) and Kyle (Samantha) Musgrove, Robyn (Jeff) Doerr, Ryan, Alexis, Bradley and Robert Musgrove; her great- grandchildren, Kayden, Knox and Lydia Grace; her sister-in-law, Lucille Smith of Missouri and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sons, Bradley and infant son, David; her brother, Richard Smith and her sister, Patricia Sill. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of the Sixth Floor at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital for their compassionate care and concern for Dorothy. Memorial contributions for both Bob and Dorothy may be given to Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St. Canfield, OH 44406. Arrangements are by Lane Family Funeral Homes-Canfield Chapel.
