Doyle E. Durig

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel for Doyle E. Durig of 1210 Depot St., Mineral Ridge who died in emergency at St. Joseph Hospital Monday evening. Doyle was born Aug. 3, 1938 in Girard, OH. A son of Paul and Leah (Lancaster) Durig. He was owner and operator of Buzzard Enterprizes, Inc. retiring 1998. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mineral Ridge and Mahoning Masonic Lodge. He was a 1956 graduate of Mineral Ridge High School. He had served in the U. S. Marines for a short time. He enjoyed gardening, golfing, and fishing. He is survived by his wife the former Norma Cameron whom he married Feb. 7, 1960; 2 children Jeffery Durig of Mineral Ridge and Shelley Tadla of Pine, CO; five sisters Retta Shilling of Meadville, PA, Pat McKenzie of Hubbard, OH, Ginger Harris of Mineral Ridge, Pam King of Fowler, OH, and Janet DeCesare of Mineral Ridge; three brothers William of Mineral Ridge, Shannon of Lordstown, and Thomas Durig of Southington; and four grandchildren Jasmin Durig, Joshua Durig, Jared Tadla, and Issac Tadla. He is preceded in death by a sister Edna Moomau and a brother Charles Durig. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 6-8 p.m. There will be a masonic service at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. The family request tributes to the First United Methodist Church of Mineral Ridge.
