Edna Louise Seaman

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown Chapel for Edna Louise Seaman, 90 of Canfield who died Friday afternoon at her residence. Edna was born July 20, 1927 in Canfield, a daughter of the late Howard and Esther (Gillner) Wehr and was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Fitch High School and was a homemaker. Edna was a member of Ellsworth Community Church and a former member of Canfield Christian Church where she was a deacon and a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship. She was former leader for the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and also a former member of the Canfield Ruritan Club. She and her husband had taken in and cared for many different individuals, including family and friends. Edna leaves her husband of over 70 years, Richard L. Seaman whom she married July 19, 1947; two daughters, Linda (Phil) Astorino of Boardman; Deborah Gail Seaman of Youngstown and one son, Richard L. (Charlotte) Seaman of Berlin Center; a niece, Jill Rymal Reed whom the Seamans raised after the death of her mother; five grandchildren, Tara (John) Reed, Carey Rose, Richard L. Seaman, III, Joshua Miles, Chelsea Miles and five great-grandchildren, Caitlin Mariah Rose, Christopher Rose, Andrew Seaman, Daniel Seaman and Emily Reed. She also leaves many special nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Edna was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris Rymal, Marion Campbell, Anna Moracco and one brother Harold Wehr. Friends may call on Monday from noon until the time of the service at Lane Funeral Home.
