Edward J Conceller

Huntersville, NC - Edward J. Conceller, 87, formerly of Warren, passed away November 30th, 2018, in Huntersville, NC. He was born June 3, 1931 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Amelia Conceller. Ed was a 1951 graduate of St. Marys High School in Warren, Ohio, where he met his wife of over 63 years, Dorothy Prussey Conceller. Ed played football for Youngstown College and joined the Air Force in 1952. He served as a Staff Sargent in charge of air base supply for the 802nd Strategic Air Command. Ed was a proud union member at Packard Electric where he worked for over 40 years, retiring from Delphi in 1991. He enjoyed officiating high school football, playing cards, hunting, driving tour bus, and was very proud of his garden. He loved Italian food, and especially Sunrise pizza. He & Dorothy spent their winters in Fort Myers, Florida, and summers at his hunting "cabin" and favorite family gathering place in Polk, Pa. Ed was an avid Cleveland Indians and Ohio State fan. He had a fantastic sense of humor, some great one-liners, and the best stories. Ed took devoted care of his wife Dorothy at the end of her life. Through the stress of her illness, there was never a doubt of his love and concern for her. Their relationship continues as a model for their children and grandchildren. Edwards memory will be carried on by his sister-in-law Virginia Perotti, of Greenville, PA, sister-in-law Dorothy Conceller of Seven Hills, OH, his 7 daughters: Cheryl (Regis) Shuttic of Warren, Mary Lou Wilson of Warren, Cindy (Steven) Sager of Dayton, OH, Kathy (Marty )Mrofchak of Warren, Julie (Salvador) Padilla of Matthews, NC, Regina Conceller of Parma, OH, Amy (Mike) Kovalchuk of Denver, NC, and his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. [His grandchildren include Catherine (William) Archuleta and their son Ethan of Humble, TX, Lynn Alderman of Warren, Paul (Carla) Wilson and their daughter Julia of Bel Air, MD, Sara McGinley of Warren, Stephen Wilson of Warren, Stephanie (Jason) Kokrak & their son Declan of Lakewood, OH, John McGinley (Katie) of Boardman, OH, Adam (Danielle) Mrofchak and their daughters Allie & Emma of Poland, OH, Antonio Padilla and Amanda Padilla of Matthews, NC, and Michael, Jacob, and Kyle of Denver, NC. ] He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Amelia Conceller, his brother Samuel Conceller, brother-in-law Robert Perrotti, son-in-law Joseph P. Jarmatcki, Jr., son-in-law Robert P. Wilson, and his beloved wife Dorothy. A funeral mass will be held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Warren at 10:00AM on Saturday December 15, 2018. Friends and family may call from 4-7:00PM on Friday December 14, 2018 at Lane Family Funeral Homes Roberts- Clark Chapel at 180 Garfield Dr. NE in Warren.
