Edward J. Kane, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Lane Funeral Home Canfield Chapel for Edward J. Kane Sr. of Canfield who passed away at Northside Hospital on Tuesday morning. Mr. Kane was born May 2, 1938 in Youngstown, the son of Edward and Margaret (Krull) Kane. A Marine Corps veteran, Ed was the owner/operator of Kane Paving, which he started in 1962 and worked for 40 years. Ed had a unique kindness for animals, and enjoyed showing horses with his family. He was also an avid stock car fan as well as a driver. Besides his wife Gloria (Odey) Kane whom he married January 6, 1962, he leaves three children: Edward J. (Cindy) Kane Jr. of Salem, Colleen (Mark) Kane-Wolfgang of Canfield, and Jennifer (Scott) Harrison of Canfield. Edward also leaves his brother William O. Krull of Houston, TX and his Aunt Vera Ward of Youngstown. Mr. Kane also leaves three grandsons: Jonathan, Robert and Dana. He was preceded in death by his father, his step-father William Krull and his mother. Friends may call at the Lane Funeral Home in Canfield on Friday from 6-9 PM
