Edward "Pete" Mizicko

Our beloved husband and father Edward Pete Mizicko, 72, passed away on May 15, 2018 after a brief battle with cancer in Lakeland, Florida surrounded by his family. Pete was born on April 27, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of Pete and Gerry Mizicko of Fowler. A graduate of Mathews High School and lifelong Fowler resident, Pete was an avid sportsman. In addition to coaching youth baseball and softball for years, Pete loved golfing, bike riding, horseshoes, and softball among other sports. Pete was also a collector Lionel trains, an active member of his church, and a well-known and well-liked face around Sanlan Ranch in Lakeland, Florida, where he and his loving wife Sherry wintered since 2001. Anyone who knew Pete knew his eagerness to help others as well as his wonderful sense of humor. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a kind friend, there will never be another Pete. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Gerry Mizicko and is survived by his adoring wife, Sherry Mizicko of Fowler, his sister Kathy DeProfio of Champion, sons Mark (Wendy) Mizicko of North Carolina, and Michael Mizicko of Orlando, FL, daughters Natalie Mizicko of Berlin, Germany, and Rachael (Ben) Shaw of Orlando, FL. Pete was also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, and Lexi of Orlando and Waka of Berlin. Calling hours will be held at Lane Madasz Chapel 6923 Warren-Sharon Road in Brookfield, OH on Thursday, May 24th from 6pm to 8pm and on Friday May 25th from 9am to 10am, with a service to follow. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Petes life at Tiffanys Banquet Hall 601 Bedford Road SE in Brookfield, OH on Friday May 25th from 11:30 to 2:00. Memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Life World Outreach Center of Sharpsville, PA or the American Skin Association.
