Brookfield – Edwin “Eddie” Williamson, 58, passed away July 21, 2021 at Western Reserve Hospice of Cleveland following a long struggle with Cancer.
Eddie was born on September 5, 1962 in Farrell, PA and lived his entire life in Brookfield.
He graduated from Brookfield High School and Mercer County Vo Tech School of Practical Nursing. He was employed by Riverside Markets, Concord Care Center, Rite Aid Pharmacy, and Orange Village Care Center.
He was a dedicated son who cared for his parents during their later years using his nursing training along with love and compassion. Eddie loved his family, his church, its members, and everyone he came in to contact with. He was always willing to help others in any way he could. He loved to play volleyball and softball, and greatly enjoyed following The Ohio State Buckeyes. He loved to play Santa Claus at Christmas, visiting neighbors and friends in his bright suit and perfect beard. He was always an animal lover and had numerous pets. He also volunteered his time with Hospice and Brookfield Township Fireman’s Auxiliary.
Eddie is survived by his brothers, Dave (Nancy), Bradley (Debbie), and Brian (Sandra Ngo); nieces, Jennifer and Melanie; nephews David and Andrew; and long-time special friend, Anne Kramer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Gertrude.
A memorial service celebrating Eddie’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday November 13, 2021, at Church of Christ of Hermitage, located at 340 Sunset Blvd in Hermitage.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Church of Christ or Hospice.
