Edythe M. Joebon, 86 of Cortland, died Tuesday afternoon, August 14, 2018, at University Hospitals Of Cleveland. She was born August 15, 1931 in Stoystown, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Robert and Iva Cottle Foust. She had been a Cortland resident since 1970, moving to Trumbull county from Pa. in 1955. Edythe was a 1950 graduate of Forbes High School in Kantner, Pa. After high school, she worked for Somerset Hospital as a nurses aide, made artillery shells in Trumbull county during the Korean War and most recently she worked for many years at Cortland Banks in housekeeping. Edythe is survived by he husband of nearly 59 years, Robert Joebon, whom she married December 5, 1959; two daughters, Vicki L. (Patrick Logan Sr.) Joebon and Kimberly A. Joebon both of Cortland and one sister, Dorothy (John) Behon of Ravenna. One brother, Robert Foust and one sister, Ida Novak both have preceded her in death. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland, where the family will receive friends from 1 until the 2 p.m. service on Saturday.
