Warren - Eileen B. Wagner, 92, after hearing the words "well done, my good and faithful servant" entered Heaven, Sunday afternoon, June 28, 2020 at Windsor House at Champion.
Eileen was born on February 25, 1928 in Warren, a daughter of the late Jacob and Theresa (Lane) Wagner. She attended Warren G. Harding High School. She was formerly married to Angelo R. Prince for 46 years as a housewife and mother. She later worked retail for several years at Robert Hall Clothing into the 70's before retiring. From the 80's thru the 90's she enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren. There were many nights of bowling in the basement and endless games. Watching her grandchildren grow, while attending their school functions and sporting events gave her a sense of pride. She was a true supporter of not only her family but strangers as well.
As a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, she spent many years walking to attend the mass, 3.5 miles one way, 4-5 times a week in all weather conditions. She would always go out of her way to hug a stranger and tell them that Jesus loved them, and so did she. Many of those years involved dropping off homemade Amish Friendship bread of endless varieties. She also invited the most unlikely people into her home for a homemade spaghetti or pot roast dinner and fellowship.
She enjoyed working through the St. Vincent De Paul Society and other local soup kitchens, as she loved to serve others.
Eating good food, such as the Feast of the 7 Fishes and enjoying a glass of wine or a martini, heavy on the olives, always put a smile on her face. Just don't forget the cheesecake.
With her honest sense of humor she would make the most serious of us laugh, by telling stories of her life as a young women.
Eileen will be deeply missed by her children, Thomas B. Prince (Ruth), Alan M. Prince (Cindy), and Mary Catherine Prince (Mark); grandchildren, Daniel Prince, Benjamin Prince (Melia), Nicole Wayt (Noah), and Katie Kritchko; Great grandchildren Arison and Michelina Wayt. She also leaves a sister, Mary Gargano as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Scannell and Betty Wagner as well as a brother, Daniel Wagner.
A private service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, July 10 at 10am. There will be no calling hours.
Any monitory contributions should be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Warren, Ohio
