Eleanore S. Gross

There will be a memorial service 11 AM Friday at the Girard City Cemetery for Eleanore S. Gross of Austintown who passed away September 5, 2009. She was recovering from a broken hip. She was born November 8, 1925, in Girard a daughter of the late John and Anna (Hill) Kleimo. Eleanore graduated from Girard High School in 1944. She worked in Washington DC at the Department of Labor before working for Girard City Schools for twenty-one years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Austintown. She is survived by her husband Robert Gross, whom she married December 6, 1953; a daughter Diane Gross and a son James Gross, both of Austintown. Besides her parents, Eleanore was preceded in death by a son Robert Gross; six brothers: Wayne, Walter, Fabian, Vernon, Herbert, and Carl; and her beloved sister Martha Nelson.
